Anthony Charles 2/05/2010

Anthony was born Friday Feb 5th 2010 at 8:35pm.  He weighed 8lbs 5oz and 20 inches long.  We are so happy to welcome him home!

There is nothing that can describe a man and woman’s happiness at the birth of their baby. The joy is so over whelming. It is this joy that gets you  through each and every day!  I am continually amazed at the miracle of the whole process of bringing a new person into this world.  What a woman’s body does to bring forth life and the changes in a woman’s body to provide nourishment for that new person.

There is such a wonder to a new person.  Who are they, who will they be, who will be their friends, what will be their interests and talents, what will they look like when they are two, eight, or eighty, the questions are never ending…

I  hope that God will provide me with perseverance, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, courage, piety, wonder & awe, and the counsel that I need everyday to raise this child and all of my children to take part in the forming their character and creative gifts.

    Christie,

Your and Bobby’s son Anthony, was born on the same date, February 5th, albeit 35 years apart as was my sister, Antonia. My father wanted a boy, named Anthony. Too bad Dad. Write this down, my prediction is that Anthony will someday become a Catholic Priest. That prediction is based on my observance of him at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Aledo last Saturday. Well, who knows he may become a a great trial attorney or a skilled electrician. I still think he will be a Priest.

I was asked by Alleman High School to speak to the Senior Class today. When I told the class of my story as being friends with Bobby and that he was running for Congress, there was applause from the fellow Pioneers! Old Schillings never retire, they return home to the “Little School on top of the Hill”.
